Taylor was appointed to the San Diego Superior Court by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in January, 2005. He was elected to six-year terms in 2006 and 2012. Before becoming a judge, Taylor practiced law with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter and Hampton for more than 20 years.
